Esperanto characters

Esperanto is a phonetic language, and because of this principle it has a few letters which are not in the basic Latin alphabet. This caused problems in the days of the mechanical typewriter. However, the advance of technology has virtually obviated the problem.

However, if you do not fully understand what to do in order to produce and read all Esperanto letters, Prof. John Wells has written a clear non-technical article which will solve any residual problems.

I can highly recommend it.
